An old man used to work in my father’s factory. He used to narrate stories. Once he narrated that when he was a child there was one hakim in his village. He was very well known for his stories. He narrated,” we had one Hindu living in our village. It was not easy to take money from them. Once that Hindu fell sick and Hakim was called for his treatment. Hakim said to him that you will be all fine, I charge 1 Rupee for the treatment.  (1 rupee was as equal as one lakh today). The Hindu agreed to give him the money once he is treated for his urine blockage.  He agreed to give the money after he passes urine. So the Hakim asked someone to get Sattu for him. The Hindu was asked to take sattoo with water. After sometime the Hindu was all set but refused to pay him 1 rupee. The Hakim left from there silently. Second time the Hindu fell sick again with the same problem. Hindu thought of taking the same remedy as prescribed by Hakim earlier. But this time, the remedy did not work, instead it worsened his condition. The sons of Hindu called the hakeem again. This time the Hakeem asked for 10 rupees before the treatment. The sons of Hindu gave him the money. He asked them to get Sattu. When they got Sattu, he asked them to warm it little. The reason was that first time, when the Hindu fell sick it was hot weather and there was no requirement of heating the Sattu. Whereas now it is cold weather and Sattu should be given with warm water to the patient. Hakeem left from their house. Once the Hindu was conscious, his sons told him how he was treated by Hakeem and he had taken 10 rupees as his fees this time. When Hindu heard this he fell unconscious again.
